Q: re: fire safety information- Please provide fire & safety information. Can it be installed on a carpet floor or is it better to have other type of floor, if so what is recommended? also what distance from the wall or other surfaces can it be installed??

A: Hello Mary, There aren't many limitations in terms of installation parameters when it comes to this Electric Fireplace & Mantle. As for the installation on a carpet floor, that would be acceptable as long as the unit is level. A hard floor surface would make it easier to achieve a level installation, however, it is not necessary. There is also no restrictions in terms of clearances/distances from walls or other surfaces. However, if you have any infants, young children or even pets, I would recommend guarding the front of the appliance. When the heater option is on, the heat vents near the top of the appliance can become hot over time. Even though we recommend never leaving children or other at risk individuals alone with the appliance, I would recommend acquiring a guard for the front of the unit in order to reduce the risk of a potentially harmful burn. A: This product is a solid wood veneer. Most furniture is a veneer on mdf. Napoleon used solid wood verses a paper veneer like most.

Q: what are the dimensions of the cupboards for the Nepoleon mcKinley electric fireplace Product #64-3115-8 will the cupboards also fit any components such as DVD player

A: The glassed shelving cupboard is approximately W- 12.83” D-16.93” H-20.47” , on each side. Within each cupboard there are 4 adjustable heights for a 5mm thickness glass shelf. The media shelf is approximately W- 29.52” D -9.4” H 7.24” on each side , a .7” block separates each side of the shelf. The media shelf will fit most standard sized DVD players.
