It's always hard to tell for sure how effective it is, but I think it helped during my camping trip. I really liked the bottle design. It's small enough for a pocket, and has a secure lid that protects it from accidentally spraying. The bottle and cap are rigid enough that I didn't have to worry about it leaking if it got squeeze either.
