Love the furniture piece it adds to the room. Fits all my electronics nicely and 42" flatscreen. After about 5 months of use the fireplace insert started making a rattling noise when the heat option was enabled. Overall the insert is gives off a noise whenever it's on that's noticeable to guests. I opened up the unit and sprayed WD40 on the moving parts. This helped temporarily but the rattling noise returned. I'd like to return the insert and try a new one. I think I got a lemon.

I have owned and used this electric fireplace for just over a year now, and it continues to provide flawless daily service. Assembly was not difficult and took a couple of hours working alone. It helps if you've assembled similar units before but the instructions are clear even for a beginner. This fireplace heats our video lounge very nicely, helping with economy as we keep the baseboard heaters at low temperature because we use this room only in the evening. Best of all, it looks fabulous, matching our mahogany furniture perfectly. The flame effect is not quite as realistic as our Dimplex fireplace, but it is very nice and more adjustable with various degrees of brightness in both the flame and ambient firebox light. The dual power for the heater is also a nice feature and the fan is audible but not annoying. The mantle is very solid, holding our heavy, 58 inch plasma TV without difficulty. The only improvement I would suggest would be to tone down the loud beep when using remote control functions. They are loud enough to be heard throughout the house! Fortunately we don't have to hear them except when turning the unit on and off. All in all, a superb value at the sale price!

Good price on sale and very helpful store staff. However, when I got the thing home, all of the hardware was loose in the bottom of the box. Pieces were falling out as I unloaded the large parts. This necessitated sorting and counting many small screws and, yes, there were several screws missing, including many of the knockdown bolts. I had to return to the store for replacements. The staff were wonderfully accommodating; they opened another box and gave me the entire hardware package, treating their action as an exchange for defective merchandise. This saved me a lot of time as I bought the thing on a Friday evening and would have had to wait the entire weekend to deal with the manufacturer. Good Job Store Staff!

Took me about two hours to put it together by myself - a couple of pieces are large and awkward to position, but just take your time. Took another hour to set up the receiver, cable box, tv, speakers, dvd player, etc etc. There were no assembly instructions in the box, but I called Greenway at 1-866-253-0447 and they sent a pdf to my email address right away. Looks great in my living room,. beautiful flame effect, I love it.
