A: My first answer was incorrect. This heater is capable of heating 300 sq. ft., the smaller 9000 BTU Little Buddy is rated for 225 s. ft. .

Q: How long will it run on a 1 lb tank

A: In cold weather and at high heat it will freeze the 1 pound tank in about 30 minutes. The tank won’t be empty but it will shut off. Mr. Heater has an adapter line that attaches to a 20 pound tank and it works perfectly for my entire hunting and ice fishing seasons. Guessing at least 40 hours. Total guess.

A: I use it for 2 person ice fishing shack and it work just fine. I’m not sure about 28’x28’ garage. May be this guy needs a bigger heater.

A: It is not legally approved for indoor use in Canada but it does have an oxygen depletion shutoff sensor on it for some reason.

A: Thank you for the inquiry. No, the Mr. Heater Hunting Buddy heater does not come with any hoses and attachments in the box when you buy the heater. It is ready out of the box for you to connect a 1-lb disposable bottle as the gas source. It can be used with a hose connected to a 20lb tank. You can use hose F273704, the Mr. Heater 10' Buddy hose. A: Thank you for your inquiry. The 12,000 BTU Portable Buddy is our Hunting model. On a 20lb tank it will run 72 hours on low and 36 hours on high.

Q: where do i find parts for my heater like the pilot propane pressure fitting

A: We have a master parts distributor and they are in Oakville Ont the companies name is IPS (International Power systems) and there # is 1-877-477-3353. You will need the part # to order the parts IPS is only a parts distributor, if you do not have this info you will need to call Mr. Heater at 1-800-251-0001 and talk with tech who will let you know what you need in the way of parts.
