Q: Does it produce true sine wave output?
11 years agoA: Perhaps a little late but... Both answers given are correct. As for the kind of equipment that will run off this inverter is the critical question. To summarize: All resistor type devices like hair dryers, heat guns, hotplate cookers and so on. Some TVs will work where others might loose synch. Stereos in most cases will work and so will thermoelectric coolers. Appliances with induction motors, such air refrigerators, conditioners, heaters and any other appliance with an induction motor, in most cases the motors will overheat. due to the square shape of the wave form. Depending on design some motors will work but one cannot known before hand which will and which not without an in-depth analysis of the motor.

Q: why does my inverter output power fluctuate when hooked up to a battery
8 years agoA: I did hook up the inverter exactly as you describe tried multiple electrical appliances to see if all were affected, the results were all the same. Borrowed a inverted from work all worked fine, obviously the Motormaster unit is defective or inferior, not impressed.

Q: Will this unit be sufficient to power 2 CPAP machines for 8 hours. Product #199-9930-0
9 years agoA: I have a 400 watt inverter and a deep cycle battery and I used one CPAP on the same battery for 40 hrs and the battery is still half charged. if the 400 watt one works you should be able to run 3 CPAPs easy for a long time.

Q: is this a modified sine or a full sine ? why no warranty on this product ?
11 years agoA: Me again. That the screen shows "This product has no warranty" is merely a technical glitch (much like the image we're showing!). It is a "While quantities last" promotion and comes with a 1-year warranty. The inverter itself is exactly the same as our model 11-1846. The only difference is this promotional version comes with four bonus 4AWG x 36" battery cables to complete your installation.

Q: How would you connect this to 2-6 volt batteries that are wired together parallel? We have two 6 volt batteries wired together connected to solar providing power to our rv?
5 years agoA: Simply connect two cables to the + post of battery one and connect the other ends to each of the + terminals of the inverter. Similarly, connect two cables to the - post of battery two and connect the other ends to each of the - terminals of the inverter.

Q: Why is there 2 positives terminals and two negatives terminals on the back of the unit ? Do you need to connect all 4 sets to the battery or can you just connect one set (positive/negative ) from the inverter to the battery ? Thanks
