Q: How they light up if I use proper connection sequence (Dead-Red First) ? Proper connection sequence starts with "dead-red" followed with charged-red. Charged-black to unpainted grounded metal part. If you follow that sequence, will your cable light up and when in the connection sequence ?

A: Each clamp has a LED located in it which illuminates when you squeeze open the clamp. They are powered by their own battery – it does not require power from the dead or booster battery.

A: These cables use a copper clad aluminum wire. The wire is actually upsized to provide the same power conductance of 6 gauge 100% copper wire.

A: The smaller the number the bigger the gauge. Product #11-1228-8 the NASCAR Advantage 20-ft Booster Cables are a #2 gauge.
