Jug doesn’t accept hand pump!

Let’s get this straight, the oil is oil! It does its job . However, if I cannot get it out of the jug the proper way , it becomes useless. I don’t know what moron designed this latest version of the oil jug, but they need to be fired ! The mouth of the jug doesn’t even allow for a proper hand pump to be used due to the manufacturer putting an indent right at the mouth of the jug. Let’s get our heads on straight here motomaster!

Q: Is this product yellow metal safe?

A: This is GL-5 oil, which is not recommended in gear cases that have any bronze parts. AMSOIL makes a gear oil that is rated GL-4, which is appropriate for gear cases containing bronze parts.

Q: The current product shown on cantire's website states it is GL-4 and GL-5 rated (sds made by Shell USA or Citgo USA). Product in store today says it's made by Irving Canada. No longer says it is GL-4. So, can I use this in my brass synchros transmission?

Q: Can I use this oil in my 1988 ford rangers rear differential when it asks for hypo is oil I meant to say hypoid oil

A: MM EP 80W-90 is hypoid type oil. If the differential is standard, they could use MM EP 80W90 If the differential required a Limited Slip additive, then they should buy the additive and add to MM EP 80W-90.

A: Our reference material shows that your 1980 MGB’s differential takes a “GL-5” axle fluid. Having that said, the MM EP 80/90 Gear Oil would be appropriate for your differential application.
