Q: Is there added fragrance or essential oils? If someone is allergic to linalool, essential oils, limonene (in citrus, geranium, et cetera), and farnesol, is this a safe product?

A: I’ve used this brand and others with the same active ingredient. I don’t think that there are any biologicals added. The product is non oily has a slight scent that reminds me of geranium, but hardly noticeable. It works really well, about the same as the higher concentration DEET products. Side benefit is that it doesn’t affect clothes made of nylon and polyester. I originally bought it because the DEET based products ruined my biking clothes.
