    The bar is 24 inches, but my mounts were only 23 inches apart. It was actually really simple to slide out the spring loaded end, cut the extra inch off and slip it back in. Perfect!

    Towel.bar replacement with spring loaded ends

    Reasonable replacement bar for Moen towel bar. The ends are spring loaded, but it was still difficult to insert them into the existing porcelain holders. This will require removal of the holders which will have to be reset/affixed to the wall.

    Q: What do you use to cut it to size? What type of saw? It is too long. Thank you

    • A: A hack saw will work fine, you just remove the end cap cut it clean the edges up and put the end cap back in.
