I've been using Mobil Delvac 1 for almost 30 years. All my work trucks, and every diesel pickup that I've owned. Every time I've done an oil analysis, it's come back that the oil still had all it's additive package, even when I've ran extended drain intervals. I trust Mobil Delvac 1, that's why I will continue to use it, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality oil.

Q: Can this oil be use in the 6.4l hemi? 0w40 synthetic can be quite expensive and this is a bit less expensive than the regular oil

A: Thank you for your question, Alex. We have reached out directly to the vendor to help answer, as the model is quite old. Mobil's data only goes back to 2004, so nothing on the 2003 specifically. For 2004 F350 6.0 TDI 239kW model API CJ-4 15W-40 spec is recommended. In case if API CJ-4 recommendation is confirmed for the 2003, Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 can be used as it meets API CJ-4.

A: While this product will work, it doesn’t explicitly carry the Mercedes approvals. Recommended products include 28-9916 (Mobil 1 Euro Synthetic 5W30 1L) or 28-9928 (Mobil 1 Euro Synthetic 0W30 1L).

A: Mobil Delvac 1 does not meet MB 229.51, but Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W30 and Mobil 1 ESP X1 0W30 both meet this spec. Note that Mobil 1 0W40 meets MB 229.5
