Q: Your site tell me that this is the wrong oil for my vehicle. Yet it is the only oil you sell at CT. That is " Dexos 2" which is what a Chevy 2.8 turbo diesel specifies.
5 years agoA: Hi, A Chevrolet Colorado with the 2.8L Duramax Diesel engine requires an SAE 5W-30 engine oil meeting the dexos2 specification. For areas with severe cold (temperatures below -29deg C) an SAE 0W-40 engine oil meeting dexos2 is recommended. In Canada, a product that would be suitable for your vehicle is Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30. Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 does have the Dexos 2 approval. Thanks for reaching out, kind regards,
