    Battery replacement

    I dont necessarily have issues with this battery. It's working as it should so far. But id like to add that this isn't the size I wanted. I have a Champion generator, about 3-4 years old and needed a new battery for it. Canadian Tire sells all sizes of Champion generators but do not have a cross reference nor the proper size battery for all of them.

    Replaced a much heavier 65Ah wet battery to lighten tongue weight on teardrop trailer. Gets recharged while driving and is always there for emergency brake operation for trailer and is 1/3 the weight.

    Q: Will it run a diesel heater

    • A: You really need to check the power specifications of your particular diesel heater. Generally, a 50Ah deep cycle battery would be good for 12–20 hours of use while a 100Ah deep cycle battery would be good for 40–60 hours of runtime. So at only 20Ah, the runtime on this battery would be impractical.

    Q: Do you use an sla charger or agm charger?

    • A: You should be able to use either (but would need to check your charger's specifications to be certain). The recommended charging parametres for this battery is 14.4 - 15.0 volts and a current no greater than 6 amps. We would recommend charging at around 2 amps.
