This Maguire’s rim cleaner is excellent. It must used together with a brush or rubbing cloth. Thoroughly wash with water when done.

Money wasted

The spay bottles trigger defective. Leaked badly half the product ended up on driveway. Wheel cleaner Vinegar a little dish soap and a brush rinse. 30 cents.

Kinda Hot Rims and Clean Tires

The product works as advertised. Your wheels and tires will definitely turn out cleaner, but it may take serious scrubbing and/or multiple treatments to remove deeply embedded road gunk and brake dust. If you leave your rims too long between cleaning treatments, this product will not be able to restore them to the just-like-new or even gently used finish you are hoping for. Don't neglect regularly cleaning your tires and rims if you value your ride!

Q: Can i use this product on matte black rims

A: I would think so. As with any degreaser/wheel cleaner I would not leave the product on too long before scrubbing & rinsing off. If you spray it on & walk away - you might etch the aluminum or paint.

Q: What is this product like in the winter months?

A: A product like this is not designed to be used in cold Canadian winters as it will just freeze.During the cold winter months take your vehicle to a warm indoor car wash and let your rims warm up.Then you can use it with the results being as if it was the summer!

Q: Is this safe on plastic fake chrome hub caps?

A: It is fairly aggressive and designed for factory OEM clear coated (painted) wheels. To be entirely safe you really should consider grabbing our Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner instead.
