These peat pellets are perfect for growing tomatoes from seed. Simply add water and the pellets swell up to seven times their original size, forming a self-contained "pot" of growing medium for baby seedlings. The porous peat allows for optimal air circulation around roots as they emerge, giving seedlings a strong start. Once the seedlings are ready, they transplant out easily from the pellets, giving you healthy tomato plants for your garden. The weed-free Canadian sphagnum peat ensures pure growing conditions for your tomato seeds.

DON'T BUY THESE; IT'S LESS EXPENSIVE TO BUY THE COMPLETE KIT

For some reason McKenzie seems to think that half of 36 is 16; two of these boxes won't fill the seedling tray for which they're designed and to buy the kit with a tray and 36 pellets is only a penny more than buy a pair of these boxes. Really weird decision making by McKenzie/Jiffy
