Q: ow to connect the pins to provide 20V/5A output? I have one and want to use for a 3-rd party cordless drill. I see 5 pins, 1-B1- B2-, 2-T, 3-BS, 4-ID, 5-B1+B2+ so I will need between pin 1 and 5 to get 20V, but other pins where/how to connect?

A: Power tools are configured not just for the output but also how the PCBAs in the tool / battery communicate. We cannot support connecting the battery to a different manufacturer's tool.

Q: Will this battery work with a Maximum Impact # 054-2312-8?

A: Yes, it will operate this and other 20V Maximum tools. However, please note that the battery will not charge using the charger provided with 54-2312 as the technology of the battery is different and therefore requires the updated charger. If you intend to buy the battery you should purchase the charger kit 54-7986.

needs rubberized coating like the old Max battery

definitely an upgrade in sorts over the old 4 ah but it slides all over the desk now and is clacky due to the fact the rubber coating/ grips got forgot lol... I don't care if it makes it cost more... ad that rubber coating
