A coworker of mine picked one of these up on sale and I had a chance to try it out. Compared to the name-brand (rhymes with Toto) adjustable heel bars we have in our gangboxes this thing actually holds up pretty well. The nicest feature of this bar is the extendable handle which allows it to fit in a standard size tool box. The bar flexes quite a bit when extended out to its max length, but you can still get some serious leverage out of it. Time will tell if it will stand up to repeated stress but the fact that it's a Maximum with a lifetime warranty means you can just exchange it for a new one! I noticed there are 2 different styles of this bar as well, one with the little mushroom button to lock the extension and another with a small thumb operated lever. The one with the button looks & feels better quality in your hands, but I can see the fragile button & exposed spring getting smashed so we will just have to see what happens. I picked one up on sale and will probably buy another one, it's a great deal for a solid tool.

Best tool ever for belt tightening

Bought this on sale not expecting much but I was so wrong. If you have a pre serpentine belt vehicle or engine this is a must have tool. Because the claw is adjustable it makes tightening belts super easy and quick.
