Hose Seems Ok but Bad Mounting Hardware

3 weeks in. The hose reel seems decent and has smooth, light action. The hose is soft and light. The supplied mounding lag bolts are very poor quality and sheared off before they got tight, even with pre-drilling. Had to re-position and re-drill holes and use my own bolts. Overall quality should be standard Mastercraft, not Maximum. Bought to replace a failed Mastercraft blue one that was unrepairable due to plastic gears. Hope this one lasts and is build better.

Q: The auto retract reel doesn’t retract. How do you fix this?

A: The increments at which the retracting teeth engage are small. When you pull only pull enough to put slight pressure then slowly release. I had the same issue until I learned this. Of course this is only if in fact the mechanism isn’t faulty
