Out of the box it's a pretty good piece of equipment. It's design looks good and it feels well made. It locks in place and stays. And retracts like it should. I'm quite happy with my choice of buying this product.

Q: The auto retract reel doesn’t retract. How do you fix this?

2 Answers

A: The increments at which the retracting teeth engage are small. When you pull only pull enough to put slight pressure then slowly release. I had the same issue until I learned this. Of course this is only if in fact the mechanism isn’t faulty
