Typically install 3/4 inch thick quartz counter tops and have been using this set for at least 30 holes. The guide with the self feeding water compartment really helps me confindently start holes. The largest bit is wearing down a bit but I give this 5 stars at $50 or less. 4 stars at $100.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good product

I work commercial construction and have this set, also the small core set no longer sold. If you angle start with water these saws work well. Using the jig can be difficult on small piece tiles...but if you can get it to sit tighte its very handy. Dont just dip your tool nkw and then in water. For maximum effectiveness and life of tool a constant flow of clean water is required. I use an old water bottle with a tiny hole drilled in top to squirt a constant stream of water as I drill....messy yes...effective VERY...and my tool lasts much longer. Litterally I have cored several hundred holes in tiles granite porcelain and concrete sinks. Lots of water is the key. Overall a decent product in a qualified hand.

    Decent set

Bought this for bathroom renovation, was a bit sceptical reading the reviews but bought it cause it was on sale at the time. Was pleasantly surprised it bore a hole through porcelain like nothing. Took longer to set it up. Worked very well, I just wish they had smaller size drill bits included in the set.

Q: Do you use the diamond grit hole saw with water

    2 Answers
    • A: I would always use water when using these hole saws unless it is impossible to. If you cut dry you run the risk of overheating the bit and that could cause it to wear out very quickly and it could cause warping.

Q: I've noticed that there are set screws holes in these hole saws. Does that mean I can secure a dimond bit as a pilot to ensure an accruate cut

    1 Answer
    • A: For a diamond bit, if you mean carbide tip pilot bit, it is OK to use it to mark the accurate position to cut, but after finding the position, you should take off the pilot bit before cutting with hole saw. Otherwise, it would be easy for the cutting chips to stick to the hole saw. Therefore, we recommend to use the hole saw guide inside the set to ensure an accurate cut.
