4 1/2 " 40 and 80 grit easy on Flap disc's for
a month ago
Bit expensive but work very well at quickly removing paint / rust etc. But be very careful when using these or similar high rpm grinder sanding discs..as the slightest touch to finger or knuckle will remove your skin like warm butter..!

Q: The center of these discs are threaded. how do they work on a normal angle grinder, or do you need an adapter?

A: a majority of standard 4-1/2” and 5” angle grinder have a 5/8”-11 threaded spindle (5/8" diameter and 11 threads per inch) that you typically thread on a 5/8”-11 locknut to secure a traditional flap disk/grinding wheel/cut-off wheel with a 7/8” bore. These new style threaded flap disk do not require you to use a 5/8”-11 locknut, you simply just spin on the threaded 5/8”-11 flap wheel and use as normal. Since the flap wheel thread is in the opposite direct of the angle grinder rotation when powered on, the thread will continue to stay secured in use. SAFETY WARNING: Flap wheels should always be used with the safety guard on your angle grinder. Breathing mask, work gloves and eye protection should always be used when sanding and grinding. NOTE: These do not fit angle grinders with 10mm or 14mm threaded spindles which are uncommon in North America.
