The Mastercraft Compact Digital Inspection Camera is a useful tool for surveying a variety of hard-to-reach areas. This borescope features a 9mm waterproof camera head on a 35 1/2” (90cm) flexible cable, allowing it to reach into damp spaces without withstanding damage. Thanks to a 45° mirror attachment, a hook attachment and a magnetic attachment, this inspection camera can be used at many different angles. Automotive repairs, plumbing jobs, construction sites and inspections can all benefit from the use of a snake camera. The 4 mirror/flip image features on this borescope camera let you adjust the display orientation for a better view. The 720P HD camera has a digital zoom feature, bringing increased visibility to this drain camera while allowing for easy location and diagnosis of hidden problems. Picture capture and split screen functions allow you to take and store photos or compare real-time images to saved images. This product includes a camera, 45° mirror attachment, hook attachment, magnet attachment, storage pouch and 4 AA batteries.

Poor Performer

I purchased this item Spring of 2023. It worked very well the first 18 months. Resolution was okay with different levels of illumination on the screen as well as adjustable brightness on the camera. The extra length was great and I managed to get into most locations without an issue. Some finesse was required to coordinate the flexible cable but once in place, the view was great. The unit was put away for about 8 months and when I tried to switch on the unit, but the batteries were dead. I replaced the batteries and no luck getting it started. Unfortunately, I've purchased a few other Maximum electronic products in the past and they have all "crapped out". I will be looking elsewhere for a replacement.

Not Up To The Competition

I have tried out a couple of these cameras. screens hard to see at various angles. short length of scope cable compared. image viewing not great. Most standard now is HD 1080p with much longer cables for way less money. Canadian Tire can do better. I know they can.

C'est réellement des outils à usage domestique léger qu'on utilise 1x par année pour environ 3 utilisation avant de jeté à la poubelle. Sa été la dernière cochonnerie de canadian tire que jai acheté et la prochaine seras une milwaukee je me suis tourner vers l'industriel avec milwaukee fuel pas comparable aux cochonnerie de canadian tire à usage domestique. Ma prochaine seras une milwaukee.

Is it reliable?

Bought on sale in case I needed it. After 3 years in the box I needed it and put battery in and it was not working. CT did not want to take it back as the warranty had expired by 2 months. Had to buy a new one to use it to inspect a part on my car.
