ratchet internals don't last on my second one worked for about 3 months before it started to slip once in a while then 7 mo later won't work at all.

would give it a zero but not an option im on my third one, they last about 100 torques and the internals strip and lock this time they refused to warranty it because the last time it was exchanged they kept my paperwork (nice) also argued with me that there is only now 1 year warranty from original purchase date funny because the original had lifetime warranty CTC has turned into a profits first, satisfied customer last corporation hope the $ they saved covers the monies they lose with customers moving on to other brands there was a time when a mans word meant something stay away from this product
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Just got this unit. Can’t open the battery cover. Turned the cap in the arrowed direction and it seems to be a bit loose but it will not come Out. Plz help. Quite frustrating

A: I used the screw hole to poke it out using bent wire, the problem I have is the battery cap was thread loose and it won't sit/lock properly anymore, it keeps popping out, I hope I could buy a replacement cap somewhere for this Torque wrench, it was a nice tool to have.

Q: A guaranteed accuracy of +/- 2% throughout the torque range is a pretty bold statement for a wrench that's half the price of the top competitors. What's the policy should this level of precision not hold-up?

A: The torque wrench has an accuracy of +/-2% from 20% to 100% of the torque range when being used Clockwise. If the wrench does not meet these standards, than it will be covered by our warranty.
