These are not T shank

1 star as product description is misleading Went to a CT store nearby as it was on sale. Same product # as mentioned here but as soon as I started using it in my dewalt jig saw, they come loose. These are not T shank but are U shank

Q: From the Q&A above, it says these fit the dewalt cordless jigsaw. How do can someone get them to stay in place. They come loose for me? They don't appear to have the same hook mechanism as the dewalt blades.

A: For 0548037(Mastercraft Jigsaw Blade Set, 32-pc), they are U-Shank jigsaw blades, so it should work with the U-shank cordless jigsaw. Dewalt has two blade types of jigsaws, T-shank and U-shank, 0548037 should work with the U shank jigsaw.

Q: Makita Jigsaw compatible? Are these blades compatible with Makita Jigsaws?

A: The jigsaw blade set has a universal U-shank and will fit most jig saws but it does depend on the model. Older style Makita Jig saws require holes in the blade shank to work with the saws set screw for securing the blade. The blades do not have those holes.
