Maybe they have improved it since the earlier bad review. I got one yesterday and it holds well on some pretty heavy pliers.

Great for a tool chest!

While he other reviewers took issue to the holding capability on a vertical surface, I can say that it works really well for a tool chest application. Keeps pliers organized, easy to access, and maximizes space usage.

This thing is USELESS

I have bought 4 other types of magnetic tool holders from CT, and they are all good or great - but this stupid plier holder is USELESS. It WILL NOT hold pliers on a vertical surface. The magnetic pull is absolutely not strong enough to support them. The only way this would be useful to anybody is if they lay this holder on a flat surface - like inside the drawer of their tool chest - and then it would help keep their pliers and similar tools in position.

Magnet Not Strong Enough For Heavy Tools

Although the product shows the Canadian Tire line of pliers in the image, when I added a full assortment to this holder, the entire thing would slide and fall off. I have other magnetic tool holders from CT on my steel pegboard and all of them are pretty strong but this one isn't worth it in my opinion. If you have mini pliers this might work overall I can't recommend it.
