Cut through tough material with the Mastercraft Air Powered Cut Off Tool, 3-in. This pneumatic cut off tool is built with a lightweight aluminum body, long neck, and chrome-plated safety guard. For additional safety while using the tool, the palm trigger lever has a built-in safety lock. A screened inlet prevents dirt particles from entering the air intake of this cutting tool, while its rear exhaust allows you to direct unwanted air away from your work area.
Delivers 18,000 RPM of power to cut through rugged materials such as 1” (2.5cm) steel rods, fibreglass, copper/aluminum tubing, and angle iron up to 1/2” (1.27cm)
Rear exhaust directs air away from the work area and reduces noise
The long neck and chrome-plated safety guard allow for greater protection while cutting
A safety latch protects against accidental start up
A screened inlet prevents dirt particles from entering the air intake
Includes a 1/4” NPT plug, a hex wrench, an adjusting wrench, and a bottle of oil

Better than nothing

Well, it sounds like a cut off saw, and it's lighter than my electric cut off saw, but it hardly cuts through the rusted metal on my 1974 F250. I ended up using my recipricating saw and an air chisel, maybe the Mastercraft cut off disks are the problem.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I have a Bostitch 6 Gal compressor that pumps only 2.6 SCFM @ 90psi vs the 2.7 required. Will this create a problem regarding the performance of this tool ?

Q: how do i put the air hose coupler on to the cutter? I know where it goes but cannot find the threads. I loosened up the nut on the end but that did not help.

A: First, remove the dust cover (Pic 1). Note the threads on the end of the gun (Pic 2). Cover the hose threads with Teflon tape to ensure no leakage, and connect directly to the end of the tool (pic 3).

Q: Where can replacement 3in cut of discs be purchased since they are not listed on the website Surely you don't expect us to shave down 4.5in discs to fit it.

A: Arbor diameter is 3/8”, it requires a compressor that has at least 1.5 HP and has an RPM of 18,000
