A great table, well designed and sturdy. I would have given it a 5 except for an alignment problem where the legs attach to the table top. I had to use spreader clamps to squeeze the legs together enough to install the screws.

Bad QC. Holes in top dont line up to legs.

Just bought this. Holes in wood top dont line up with legs. By a lot. Had to drill and use wood screws to attach legs. For the price I would expect it to be perfect.

Q: How thick is the wood table top? Is it really solid wood? I need to drill a stand for a flex shaft into the top.

A: Hi, Yes the table top is 1 1/2 inches thick and it's very heavy like a butcher block so I see no problem drilling into it. Just to let you know that I really luv it but I find it too high once assembled. It's 37" high and once you put on let's say your miter saw, it's high but still manageable for me.

A: It isn't easy to change the height. The legs are very sturdy 2x4 steel rectangular tubing and would be difficult to cut at home without a way to cut through steel tubing, assuming you want to lower the table. If you have the tools though, you could cut them down and re-tap new holes for the mounting screws.

Q: what is the inside dimension for the bottom shelf area(inside the vertical sides)? I would like to put a table saw on this shelf and the saw is 25 3/4 x 18 1/4 inches..

A: The depth of the bottom shelf is 20 3/4 inches. The width of the lower shelf between the legs is 25 1/8 inches...which leads me to believe that it is about 3/4" too small for your table saw.

A: The tabletop was beech wood before 2023 year, from March 2023 Trantex transfer to Birch. So, both beech and birch are used for this tabletop, it depends on the production date
