A: Top of the red plastic is 69 1/4”. Not supposed to stand on it. Top of highest aluminum step is 57 1/4” and labeled “Do not stand at or above this level”. Highest standing step is 46”.

A: No, this model does not have a paint shelf. There is a area on the top for storing tools/parts, however I'm not sure if it would be big enough for a large paint can.
