Check the contents of the package before buying. Despite what the photos show this ruler is SAE only. It’s not metric on the backside.

Lack of metric scale drops score from a 4 to a 2

Graduated and indexed in 32nds on one edge and 64ths on the other. I second some of the other comments: 1. Judging larger divisions (quarters, eighths) takes a bit of care. 2. Clip / stop is really handy but a bit flimsy and sloppy (twists slightly sideways) compared to the apparent precision of the ruler markings. 3. Bought this to replace an older one from which I had lost the clip. Didn't even notice until I got it home that the metric scale that the previous model had is no longer present. (Weirdly, the new ruler is slightly thinner and I can't even use the clip with my old ruler!) This is CANADIAN Tire and CANADA is officially a metric country. I'm an electrician and the CANADIAN Electrical Code is all in metric measure. I have to use a conversion app on my phone to determine a metric measurement from this ruler. I understand that some folks prefer to stick with imperial but that's why you can buy measuring tapes in metric/imperial or imperial only. I'd like to see a dual scale version come back.
