Needing this was a real kick in the pants ,the opener l bought should of told me this was needed it was mentioned on page `6 of the installation manual .so l had to make a 42 km round trip to continue installing my opener ,stay away from this rand

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed in Canadian tire and mastercraft! I bought my garage door opener in June 2020 and it broke after 3.5 years. I called mastercraft who referred me to SKYLINK and they admitted to their product being pulled off the shelves because it was defective. I have paid for two parts and a repair guy to be told the whole thing is trash but I’m not getting reimbursed because I’ve had it three years when it should last for at least a decade! I even had to pay to get a new motor shipped which is not even the same brand and no instructions to install it on the existing rail and belt, only came with a power plug! And Canadian tire takes no responsibility for not calling back the product or telling clients to not buy parts when they go in store and inquire about malfunction. This is enough for me to not set foot in one of your stores again. So far trying to repair has cost has much as a new motor and now I have to buy a whole new system and pay to have it installed.

No, I do not recommend this product.
