leaks a lot

leaks air and oil a lot. not sure if I have missed some tip on connecting it (like Teflon tape or something).

Q: How do you fill it with oil? Product #58-7729 The screw hole is too small to accept oil spouts. The oil does not go inside and just runs down the sides.

A: I like to use a syringe. I had a bunch spare left over from ink-jet printer refill kits, and they come in handy. Use pneumatic (air compressor) oil, as it's properly formulated to keep the tool's gaskets and o-rings in good condition.

Q: I which direction should the air flow through the oiler?

A: I'm assuming you'd be using it inline with a tool (I just stick it right on the bottom), so you'd probably have the air going in the female end, but I don't think it really matters. All it does is saps a small mist of oil from the reservoir while the tool is in operation, and that keeps the tool lubricated. Just be sure that you're using pneumatic (compressed air) oil. I find using a syringe to be the easiest way to load it, but be sure not to overtighten the screw.
