The Mastercraft 24" Marking Level & Ruler combines the function of a professional level with that of a durable ruler in a single tool for your convenience. This time-saving tool features a bubble level with 3 break-proof acrylic vials, made easier to read by the tool’s triangular profile. The ruler also features a finely milled surface with gradient lines at both 1⁰ and 2⁰, as well as shock-proof rubber end caps when you have some heavy-duty applications to take care of. This Mastercraft level & ruler even has a set of zero and centre point scales, along with an electrical and plumbing scale for power sockets and faucets.

Excellent Tool

This is an excellent tool for marking quick measurements. Its triangular shape makes it easy to accurately mark your work. The built in level makes it a fantastic tool for hanging pictures, with a scal on one side having 0 in the middle working outward. I bought this item on clearance and liked it so much i picked up a couple more as i don't expect to see them ever again.

Only bought as I thought it would help me measure and check level at same time. It sort of does but d extra plastic at the ends causes confusion, not Mastercraft's best designed tool.

Q: What is the function of the blue piece inserted in end of ruler.

A: When pulled out, it acts as a nail holder to protect your hand while nailing. It also acts as a drill bit diameter gauge.

Q: Does this marking level and ruler have two adjustable plastic tabs installed that you can move horizontally to transfer measurements? Would this tool also be handy to use to hang larger artwork that requires two picture hooks to hang?

A: Yes! It does however keep it safe in a bag or pouch, perhaps in a cardboard tube or ABS pipe caped at each end as the tabs can be easily dislodged.

Q: Is there an advantage to having the vials at or near the end of the ruler vs having one built in vial on each adjustable tab to hang and measure? Mastercraft has no vials built on the inside of adjustable tabs you slide across to transfer measurements.

A: The vials are placed at the top of the tool so as not to interfere with the rest of the functions/potential use cases of the tool. Putting the vials in the adjustable tabs would lead to less accuracy of the vials because of the movement of the tabs.
