Product Details

The Mastercraft Voltage Detector/Tester has a non-contact AC voltage detector with a flashing LED and a buzzer to confirm the presence of an active current. The voltage tester can detect electric current between 70-1000V AC, as well as signals between 50-500Hz in frequency. This Mastercraft voltage tester is safety-rated to a CAT III standard, which allows it to perform continuous measuring in order to detect live wires and breakpoints in addition to detecting voltage.

It works, but not great, the switch is the back cover, it often doesnt trigger or just not turn on. Worked for what i needed, but if i had to use it for longer i wouldve chucked it as far as i could see and go buy a better one, for the same price.

A: This non-contact AC voltage detector can confirm the presence of an active current. It can also detect electric current between 70-1000V AC. It is advisable to turn off the power at the breaker box prior to replacing the smoke detector.
