No Parts Available

Discontinued 2014 and no parts available Drive belt broke after 10 or15 uses and cannot be fixed because CTC does not appear to order and stock parts for inexpensive off shore products. I

good planer for sale price

A good home owner/diyer planer.I don't use it alot but works well when I need it.For everyday use i would step up to bosch or makita.

Broke after first use

This tool was an excellent for the first 15 minutes of use, then rotating part simply broke. Not the blade (which also bended), but the part that holds the blade and rotates. I am not sure what it is made of, probably aluminum or pressed metal powder. Canadian tire will exchange or return it, not a problem, but does your time worth it or it is better to pay a little extra for the Bosh or Makita? On the other hand I have Master Craft drill and Sander for last 8 years and had no issues.

Great Buy for specific jobs

I bought this originally to get one of my doors to fit in the framing. With the winters we have in quebec there is always some degree of expansion. I plan on using it more so on the cabinets for the bathroom. 2 issues I found with the product is: 1 - the bag doesn't collect all wood dust . 2 - adjustment device doesn't hold very well. Still works very well for home use.

Master Garbage

Had a previous model given to me as a gift about 7 years ago. After light use I nicked the blades on something in the wood. Went to buy new blades from CTC and was told they no longer carry replacement blades because it's a previous model. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a name brand tool that the manufacturer cares enough to carry replacement parts for previous models. I have Craftsman tools that I can still buy parts for 20 years later. This is a throw away tool. Worked fine before parts needed.

Q: where can I find ball bearing replacement and how to replace? Using my planner and sudden jerking and noise, Open side casing with screwdriver and a small ball bearing fell out. Is this just a throwaway machine or is it repairable. Please help thanks
