Being patient pays off

We needed a new drill and checked our flyers for a couple of months, knowing Canadian Tire would have a sale sooner or later. The price was more than agreeable.

Quality Control?

First one I bought shorted out and popped a breaker the very first time I plugged it in and pressed the button! Was dead as a doornail when I reset the breaker and tried it again. The replacement seems to be okay.
Is heavier than my circa 1990 (and still working) Black and Decker drill, if bigger motor = more powerful? Is harder to keep it at slower speeds because of this.
I do find the lower ring a little narrow to get a good grip when trying to tighten or loosen the chuck.

A: The drill DOES reverse. There is a yellow button that gets pushed to reverse, and then pushed from the other way to go back to forward.

A: Sku#54-1213 is a drill. It can be used as a driver but as there is no torque clutch on this drill so we don’t claim the torque. Hope it helps.
