    sander

does a good job. the only problem I have is the on/off switch. Very hard to turn it off. Have to use finger nail to slide switch to off position. Very easy to change the paper. clamps hold it very well in place.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Wire clamp that holds sandpaper is flimsy

I researched another sander similar to this one and it was listed as in stock at Canadian Tire. I could not find it and a salesman recommended this Master craft product. I bought it to sand the steps of the stairs after I had finished stripping the paint. I sanded 2 steps and had to stop as the wire clamp that holds the sandpaper in place loosened, so the sandpaper won's stay on. I could tell it was flimsy the first time I used it. I will be returning the sander.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: Switch Just purchased your product and the details said the switch is a rocker type. My sander has a sliding switch which is difficult to turn off. Could be a safety concern. Is there an upgraded switch ?

    1 Answer
    • A: This is not a safety concern as this is a common switch on many types of sanders. Additionally, before coming to market, a power tool such as this sander goes through a 3rd party testing facility to get CUL certification. Should a sliding switch deemed to be unsafe, this product would not have passed testing and therefore could not be brought to the market to be sold.

Q: dust box vs bag how well does this work in comparison to the bag, Would the box not interfere with the work area?

    1 Answer
    • A: The dust box could be more efficient than dust bag when collecting dust. The box would not interfere with the work area.
