Great Tools

Really happy with this power tool set. I did have doubts before buying them but they actually look/do better than the first-look-impression I got online. I gave them 5 for the values I believe I got.

Not built to last

I have used this set quite a bit but not to the point where it should be wore out after 1.5 yearsi would say medium duty. I have exchanged this one through warranty already due to battery's not charging. and now less than 2 months after warranty expired the driver is now failing.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Gift for Hubby
I purchased this product as a Christmas gift for my husband. He had shown me a picture in the Cdn Tire flyer. I saw that it was on sale, so, of course, I ordered it online right away. I was notified it was at my store ready for pick up within two days. I surprised him, about a week before Christmas with the gift as he kept saying he needed it for work. He was very happy! He's always trusted Canadian Tire tools.

Q: Is the hex bit supposed to be loose in the impact driver?
This is my first drill and not certain what to expect. The hex bit slides about 1/2" back and forth, which gets annoying when removing screws. So, I am considering getting my set replaced under the warranty.

A: I assume you have already figured this out.. but just in case.. no its not supposed to be loose.. pull the chuck back, insert the bit, let it go.. it then locks the bit in place.

Q: Does the drill driver have any torque settings?
With a fully charged battery I can easily stop the impact driver from turning with my hand just by holding a socket that is inserted. It just makes the ratcheting sound like it's maxed out. Any suggestions?
