Questions
Q: Does it come with a battery and charger?
4 years agoA: No. You get only the tool and user manual. Nothing else. But it is compatible with all the Mastercraft 20V batteries and chargers. I use it with some 1.3 Ah batteries and a 45W charger and I can use it for approximately 8 minutes (I have 4 batteries). With a 4 Ah battery you probably can run it for 30-40 minutes.

A: Not 100% sure. haven’t actually physically tried it. But never have I ever seen one product fit another. Maximum and mast craft are bothe Canadian tire products yet there batteries between the two products are not interchangeable.

Q: For the life of me, I CANNOT get the line to advance, followed the instructions in the manual. Every time I need more line, I have to take the cap off, manually pull some line through and put the cap back on. Very aggravating. Is there a trick?
a year agoA: I had the same problem. Solution-- Get a spray can of " 3 in 1 white lithium grease" and spray the interlocking teeth on both parts and re-assemble. It works like a charm. If the trimmer gets heavy use, then give it a touch-up spray as needed. At the end of the season, wipe both sides clean and re-apply in the spring.

A: The line size is 0.065". I haven't been able to find replacement line for this trimmer. Right now, my line is only 2" long and won't budge inside the holder. I've tried to take the holder out, but can't dislodge it. Very poor design.

Q: Do you have to purchase the replacement trimmer spool when out of line or is it possible to reload the spool yourself.

6 months agoA: Hi there! This String Trimmer is to be used as a string trimmer with the corresponding trimmer head. It should not be modified in anyway to accommodate another head such as a brush cutter blade. Thank you!
