Battery life

I bought the old style of this product with the old style batteries.I didn't use it much at all(sat mostly).When it was time to use it,one battery was bad and wouldn't hold a charge and the other held very little.Now i'm stuck with a product i can't use cause they don't make the batteries anymore and new batteries won't fit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great product and useful

I bought this product several years ago on sale and it has been very useful around the house on projects, and helping to remove wheel lug nuts.
The quick release attachments are sometime tricky, but overall a great tool (could be made a little lighter, but a solid tool overall).
The batteries hold their charge, which is very useful. As well, the fast charger works great - With 2 batteries, I have never ever run out of power!

A: hi! you could use either one, the wrench comes with a hex socket adapter and has a 1/2" drive. i mostly use a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer and use 3/8" drive sockets...

Q: Some one said yes to Li-Ion working with this. Does this void warranty. I would also like to know if these are approved answers by Canadian tire.

A: I have the 18V Li-Ion drill and the batteries are interchangeable in the drills but not the chargers. For the price of a spare Li-Ion battery, it was almost the same cost as buying this impact and not only did I get an awesome new impact drill I got two Ni-Cad batteries as well.

Q: Why does my wrench not start to turn when I depress the trigger? My impact is an18v 3KO Mastercraft Maximum. When I use it, it will turn properly but when I move to the next screw or nut, I have to turn the chuck by hand until it clicks or will not turn further. What causes this and where can I get it fixed?
