Carbide tipped hole saw kit

Needed to create a 1 3/8" dia hole through marble to pass the sink's waste water drain line. The 1 3/8 dia hole saw worked like a charm, easily cutting the required hole. And what a deal with the kit being on such a huge discount. Great product for this job.

Hole saw set

Purchased this set online. Details said good for tiles. Packaging warned that product should NOT be used on metals, wood or plastics. Returned product since I would rarely - if ever - use it. Cannot rate performance higher without use.

Should be more explicit

I bought this hole saw kit on the website to drill holes in wood, as it doesn't say anywhere on the site that it's not to be used with wood. However, when I picked it up, it says right on the packaging that it shouldn't be used with wood.

A: Corian is just fancy plastic, so it should work. It may dull the Carbide tips more quickly than cutting wood, though.

A: Carbide grit holesaw can be used to drill holes in wood. But the cutting speed is approx. 2 times than regular carbon/bi metal hole saws, and because the teeth is very small ,the surface of the cutting holes is more clean. The thickness of the cutting material we recommend is less than 25mm,it is better to use the adapter to ensure the stability of the hole saw while drilling.

A: If it is air-added foam brick and thinner than 25mm, 54-4257 can cut the hole through.
