Great tool for striping without causing any pinch marks on the copper. The tension adjustment allows for perfect strip every time. Some people are confused on how to use them as you can’t strip using them from the top. The wire has to go in the side of the pliars.

Q: What's the little gold/brass thubscrew for? It looks like an adjustment of some sort.

A: It's a tension adjustment. When stripping thing Gage wires such as audio/video wire or wires on light fixtures where it just thin copper peices woven together they can easily snap so they'll need a lighter touch. Heavy Gage wire for electricity 14 12 10 the plastic shield can be stronger than those wires.

A: The scale is to be used with the movable blue plastic tab in the picture. It is to tell you how long the stripped portion of the wire is.

Q: Which position in the crimper area should I use for: Certified 22-18 AWG Male/Female Bullet Connector, Bulk Pack, .157-in, 50-pk #020-6968-4? The red, blue, yellow dots all line up to the same crimp area. Then what are the other crimp areas for?

A: So, the area indicated by the red circle would be for the red colored crimps?; I assume the area under it would be for the yellow crimps, and blue crimps under that? What about the areas on the right; are they used for specific crimps?

Q: What is length of warranty on this product? Package and bulletin points on website say lifetime warranty, but just below that warranty box says 1 year? In store customer service says 1 year.

A: 58-4570 is for use on cables from 10-24 AWG and has Lifetime Warranty. 20-7567 is for use on cables from 10-26 AWG and has a 1 year warranty.
