Takes time to install, but easy installation. Unfortunately one of the sensors was defective but Mastercraft shipped me another set very easily. Installed those and it works great. It's very quiet and surprisingly strong for a solid wood single door. One error on the instructions to set - #4 requires you to push the set button after opening with the door button before proceeding. Significantly cheaper than other options, a good choice for many.

I bought this on sale and couldn’t be any happier. It was very easy to install (about 4-5 hours) and it’s really quiet. My house doesn’t shake anymore when the garage door is opening, yay!

A: I had no problems with sensors. Alignment to each other is critical as well as inserting wires at the unit. Did have a issue in setting pressure on reversing door. I called and problem solved. Good luck.

A: Yes, but it took 3 openers to get one that worked. The manufacturer kept sending new ones. At least they didn't stop trying to help. The working one is on a 10' x 10' door and handles it with ease.

Q: Why does the opener beep every 10 seconds when using the self closing mode? Also why isn't it compatible with my built in remote on my car, I had a 25 year old opener that would do this but not this one?

A: When the opener is in Auto Close Timer mode, there needs to be a notification to the occupants inside the garage that the door will be closing, safety issue. You can disable the beep by pressing the wall button one time only to disable the beep. The door will not Auto Close now, so if you want to close you need to press the wall button again. Please contact our support for car programming (1-800-689-9928)

Q: My door is 90" tall..light but tall...will this do ..or extra rails etc?

A: The rail included with the opener is for a 7’ (84”) high door, but it will do 3”-5” more, in your case you may have a slight showing of the bottom panel when the door is open. The extension rail is recommended, but you may get away without it. Please contact the support team and we will help to answer in more detail.

Q: I have 2 questions. In the "Features" it says an extension is required for an 8' door. It specifies 046-0584-2, but that is extension for a belt drive . Chain extension seems to be 046-0586-2 ?? Is it possible to disable the timed auto-close feature

A: 1)Yes, you are correct and thank you for bringing it to our attention, we will make the correction. The correct 8’ extension is 046-0586. 2) Yes, you can disable it, on the side of the wall console there is a sl1de switch wit “0, 3 min, 10 min, 30 min” this is the timer function, to disable slide the switch to 0.
