Not great in cold weather

I bought these locks over the summer as I have 4 sheds. They work great, EXCEPT in cold weather. It is currently -14 Celsius and the key was extremely hard to get into the lock and the key will not turn to unlock the lock. I had the same issue the other day after a snow storm and I needed to get into my other shed to get my snow blower. It took me a very long time to FINALLY get the lock open to access the shed. Very frustrating to have an undependable product in cold weather.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for your inconvenient experience with this product. Over time, dust, particles, and chemicals in the air settle on and in the lock. They can then create friction inside the precision locking and keying components and impede the performance of the lock.
Regular cleaning and lubrication every three to six months is recommended to keep your locks operating like new. Locks used in extremely dusty or corrosive environments should be cleaned and lubricated every three months. Regular lubrication will also help minimize freezing in cold weather environments. Here are a few tips that will help you keep your padlocks working efficiently:
1. To clean the lock, use pressurized air to blow all dust out of the keyway and shackle openings.
2. Lubricate both the keyway and the shackle.
3. Apply lubricant sparingly. A few drops are all that is needed.
4. Allow lubricant to drain deep into the lock. Tapping the lock on a table will distribute the lubricant inside the lock and loosen frozen or sticking parts.
5. After application, insert the key and open and close the lock several times to distribute the lubricant. Wipe excess lubricant off the lock, shackle, and key. Let the lock air dry. Once dry, the lock is ready to be put back into use.
6. NEVER use dry graphite, WD40, or a silicone lubricant. Graphite is often applied in excess, which interferes with part movement.

These locks look very nice but tend to have problems with the part that goes into the wall. The handle start to mess up after a week.

Q: These are not Master Magnum I just bought this product and it's not as listed. The CTC # 046-1521-6 is on my receipt, but they are not Magnum and the shackle is round, not octagonal. Do you actually carry the Magnum locks in a 4-pack?
