Bowls great, lids not so good.

The lids (too big, incorrect tolerance?) are made of a very rigid plastic that do not fit snugly into the bowls. You do not have a leak proof seal and so they are not appropriate for liquids.

Fine, not great

Bowls are fine. All the right size.
Material is not great though. Washed the bowls after purchasing and again before using: weird black residue all over my bread dough and in my whipped cream. DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS with these bowl, apparently (no warning or instructions for not using metal utensils in metal MIXING bowls).
Should have just bought the plastic ones.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can I get replacement lids for these? My bowls have different lids than these but I think they are the same size. The lids are translucent white and they are starting to fall apart. Of course the bowls are still fine. I would love to get new lids.

Q: Are the Arcosteel bowls oven safe? I purchased these bowls about a yearr an a half ago, I'm trying to bake a dome shaped cake and was wondering if these bowls were oven safe? I have the 3-pc set with white lids.

A: I'm not sure what set you are referring to with the white lids but with reference to this set with the red lids the only thing that it says on the box is that this set is dishwasher safe.Maybe try contacting the manufacturer directly for a definite answer.
