It seems that the rice might have been overcooked, possibly due to an incorrect rice-to-water ratio or not following the cooking instructions closely. For best results, please use the included measuring cup and follow the instructions provided in the manual. Ensure that the heat sensor on the inside of the base is clean, dry, and cool before starting another cooking cycle.

I bought this Master Chef Rice Cooker as a replacement for our old one which finally broke down after years of use. It worked well as a Rice Cooker and Steamer for our family. It doesn’t have a million different uses as the much more expensive brands and models that are out there; but I didn’t want or need it to. It does the job that’s required of it. We only need it to cook rice and steam vegetables. I can’t say anything about its longevity as we’ve only had it a short time now.
I recommend this Master Chef rice cooker.

A: it depend on what type of rice you are about to cook, usually its 1(cup of rice):1(cup of water). For basmati rice it’s 1:2 for well done

A: We don't have a guide per say, however, 4 cups of white rice will take around *16 minutes. For the maximum amount of white rice, this will take around *26 minutes. **Cooking time will be variance on different kinds of rice.

A: The typical time to cook 5 cups of raw white rice will take around *20 minutes. The typical time to cook 10 Cups (Max) of raw white rice will take around *30 minutes. *Please note that the cooking time will be variance on different kinds of rice.
