I received this as a gift. As mentioned it does take awhile for the temperature to register and the tines/probes are a bit thick..

I find it difficult sometimes to tell if meat on the grill is cooked properly so I've used this temperature fork. I find the reading is fairly accurate, I just wish that the prongs weren't so big, I worry about too much juice coming out of the meat.

You really need to know the internal temperature of meat cooked on a barbecue. It can look charred on the outside yet be bloody inside. This is any easy way to check and it doubles as a barbecue fork
