Q: Can the clock be turned off? It's too bright

Q: How do you set the time on this Microwave? I press "clock", the display changes to HR 12, I assume I am to put in the time (1:05), then press "clock" again. It beeps twice, accepts the time but switches back to 00:00 with another beep.
