Awesome product and included Mumm’s organic seeds provide a quick and healthy way for micro greens and sprouts. Any surplus can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container with a piece of kitchen towel on top and bottom and turned daily for up to two weeks.

Q: How large are the holes in the lid? Would this work for alfalfa seeds or would they slip out when rinsing?

A: Yes, I unwittingly dumped 1/2 my first starter seed batch (included) into the sink. Then I scooped them up, washed with vinegar-water, and did the remaining rinsing into a bowl. I still figure it's cleaner than using and washing cloth all the time. As even these small seeds grow they shouldn't fall out again...but I'm ready!

A: I’m not sure if there is an expiration date on the seeds but I find the seeds are good for at least a year.

Q: Can you grow other greens in this too? Like pea shoots?

A: Sure, you can sprout anything that can grow. You may have to adjust the quantity of seeds you put in it depending on seed size.
