bought this and installed at my patio doors. Magnets do not match up perfectly (and yes, I followed instructions to a T), there are gaps between them where flies can come in. Everytime I (or my dog) go through it, I have to pull it together. Needed to cut the bottom a bit, but magnets are too close to bottom, so yup, it's still a bit long. And my door length is 80 inches.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is the seam where the door opens off to one side to install on patio doors?

A: Yes, the seam is located so that the mesh opening will be in the middle of the door.
