bad maps the most basic roads you find on google map is not on the maps impossible to upgrade the maps either only buy if you remain within city limits if you plan to go to the lake most likely it wont have the road the road around lake cowichan is not even there ....

I bought this last week on Special at Canadian Tire. I cannot enter an address. I tried to write to Magellan but they charge $5 to answer questions. The intruction manual to install the device is in the box but the manual to operate it is on-line. When entering an address sometimes a letter entered changes to a number. I am returning it to-day

WORST MAGELLAN GPS EVER

i am using magellan gps from last 16 years and love it but this one worst gps from magellan ever. THINGS ARE MISSING FROM PREVIOUS MODELS; 1) ADDRESS BOOK DETAIL IN PUT. 2)CAN NOT ADJUST THE SPEED WARING OR TURN IT OFF. 3) COLOUR MAP OPTION IS MISSING. 4)MOST OF ALL NAVIGATION BAR IS NOT THERE WHEN YOU ARE NOT NAVIGATING WHICH SHOW YOU ON WHICH STREET YOU ARE ON. NOT BUYING MAGELLAN ANY MORE MOVING TO GARMIN

Basic, easy-to-use GPS

LIKE: -Free lifetime map updates -Large 7" screen -Comes complete with 12VDC car charging cable, mounting cradle and stand (suction cup), 115VAC home charging cable -Easy to register product and update maps using built-in wi-fi -Very easy to use -Ability to easily search for nearby places of interest like gas stations, coffee shops, restaurants, hotels/motels and shopping malls. -Ability to set up the GPS to remind you to take a break from your driving at pre-selected time intervals and to turn on your headlights at dusk. DISLIKE: -No free traffic updates -Although you can choose from several spoken languages when GPS announces street names, directions, etc, but you are stuck with one voice, there is no way to customize for male/female voice or different accents. -You can save addresses in the address book (called "my places") or favorites (called "onetouch"), but there is no way to edit these entries to add a name, phone number, e-mail address or any other information to an individual entry. So, for example, if you want to drive to your friend's place, you must know his address in order to select it from the address book, you can not search for his address in the address book by typing his name. Very inconvenient.

No, I do not recommend this product.
