Poor service

I bought this two years ago because it combined a GPS with a dashcam. The GPS works fine but the dashcam has never worked because it would not accept the MicroSD card. Two years of correspondence with Magellan and requests to return the product have been to no avail. Dilbert says it best on 10 May 2020.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Magellan 6722 - AVOID this GPS

The BOTTOM line at the start.
I wouldn't buy another RoadMate 6722.
It has far less flexability and user friendliness than preceding Magelllan GPS/DashCams.
The User manuals are terrible, severely lacking in adequate function descriptions.
If you want, buy one and try it immediately.
If you're not satisfied return it within 30 days for your money back.
After awhile Canadian Tire will send the message to Magellan that their product is INFERIOR
Don't know who bought out Magellan but they've done no improvement/good to the product.
I have had 3 Magellan GPS with Dash Cam.
This one is terrible.
The manual does not cover all major operation functions.
You have to write Magellan to get answers to operation functions.
The MENU is particularly terrible, compared to prior Magellan GPS.
The prior Main Home menus had icons for entering or accessing
- NAME and address
- points of interest to search for INCLUDING name of business
- previous locations visited
- intersections in cities
- City centres as destinations Current Location - coordinates so location could be NAMED and saved
On the Bottom Bar there was and icon for
- Address Book saved By Name with address
- Camera access button
- Settings 15 settings including time zone options.
The 6722 Menu has many FEWER Options for the User
- a search button with NO ABILITY to search for a specific Business
- a One Touch icon which only facilitates 16 locations
- a Camera access icon
- a Trips icon which is the only facility to add a Name to addresses
- a Recents button which onl accepts addresses - No names
- a My Places icon which has NO Facility of NAMES of business or Person

Lifetime Maps is MISLEADING - only 3 years from FIRST USE.
NOTE THAT ALL THE GOOD (4 & 5) REVIEWS for 6722 ARE FROM A PROMOTIONAL EFFORT
After a bit of use, Battery power lasts only a few minutes.
Unit NO GOOD for handheld pedestrian navigation
Good luck trying to talk to any Magellan staff about a problem.

Software is Terrible!

I have two GPS's (one is a Garmin; the other is Magellan. They were both easy to use and worked as advertsed.
While the hardware of this GPS is judge to be good the software is extremely poor. Entering destination info is not intuitive, and very cumbersome. The search engine results cannot be trusted. Example: (1). Could not find 2 Stella Court, Hammonds Plains NS! That place has been there for years. (2). I tried 97 Queens St. Truro NS; it gave me 9 options, all Truro NS. Knowning the area I checked each location to see where they really were and verified the location were in Middleton NS, Annapolis Royal NS, Digby NS, Saint John NB, etc. If you did not know the area (out-of-country) you could easily get confused and lost.
Bottom line: I would not trust this GPS

A: The GPS can be used in a Truck, but is not designed to support typical Trucking information such as truck routes, time logging, etc.
