A little glitchy.

Worked fine for several months then would not connect to satellites. Had to bring it inside to update it and get it going again. Also directed us to the wrong town once.

Bad Battery, Bad Customer Support

Only two years after purchasing this unit, the battery started to quit and the length of run time reduced more and more. When I check with Magellan to get a replacement battery, I was told that they do not supply replacement batteries and that I would have to purchase a new unit. They did offer 30% off. Batteries in these units should last between three and five years. This also seems to be the only unit that you can not find a replacement battery for "on-line".

A: Traffic Camera Alerts by PhantomALERT are included at no extra charge for one year. Receive audible and visual warnings of red light and speed cameras along your route. This is verified crowd source data that you refresh on your unit by the free Content Manager from Magellan. You can even become one of the many reporters on the street by submitting your own discoveries or rating the reliability of the alerts you are shown. Premium content is available for an extra cost which includes blackspots (high accident areas), school zones, and dangerous intersections.

Q: Does it have lane assist/recognition? Does this GPS identify which lane you are in? I am looking for a GPS that will know which lane I am in and direct me accordingly.

A: This has a feature known as Junction View. This feature is primarily displayed when approaching Overhead signs on the freeway and will guide you to the exit lanes.
